Customer Nominated Safeplace and Alternative Delivery Locations
If you nominate a Safeplace or alternative delivery location through Royal Mail delivery preferences, including via the Royal Mail app or delivery notification, you are authorising Royal Mail to deliver your parcel to that selected location.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• A specified Safeplace at the property • A nominated neighbour • A reception desk or concierge • A parcel locker • A communal delivery area within a flat, apartment block, student accommodation, or other multi occupancy building
Where a Safeplace or alternative delivery location has been nominated by the customer, delivery to that location will be treated as delivery to the customer.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that any nominated Safeplace or communal delivery location is secure and suitable for accepting parcels.
If Royal Mail confirms delivery to a customer nominated Safeplace or authorised alternative location, including where supported by delivery scan, GPS confirmation, or photographic evidence, this will be treated as successful delivery.
